In its endeavor to promote Amaravati as a global hub for culture, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority presents the second edition of Amaravati Global Music and Dance Festival on 16th, 17th and 18th November 2018 at BERM Park, Vijayawada. This free-to-enter mega festival features a power-packed global fusion extravaganza by renowned Indian and International artists from Carnatic, Hindustani, Bollywood, Tollywood, Pop, Jazz, Rock and Folk industry. Along with a fusion of contemporary world music and Indian classical dance forms like Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam, the festival will also witness various International dance forms such as Flamenco.

Formed in 1996 by Anuradha Pal, Stree Shakti band has been enthralling audiences with its flawless presentation of engaging combinations from both, Hindustani & Carnatic systems of music. A unique combination of melody, poetry & rhythm fusing the traditional with the contemporary, with power-packed World Percussion. This innovative & path-breaking band challenges gender stereotypes & biases, celebrating the emergence of woman power in the 'male-bastion of Indian Rhythm', thus promoting female empowerment, inclusion, opportunity, equality & dignity.

The Malladi Brothers, Malladi Sreeramprasad and Malladi Ravikumar, hail from a family of musicians from Andhra Pradesh. Music of Malladi Brothers is marked by the perfect unison of two voices, wide repertoire, sruthi soaked presentation of melodious musical compositions of the contemporaries Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar, and Syama Sastri, regarded as the Trinity of Carnatic music. Their consistent Brilliant Performances brought them to the forefront in the field of Carnatic Music.
KALA RATNA DEEPIKA REDDY
Deepika Reddy is recognized as an accomplished performer, a creative choreographer, a cultural ambassador and a dedicated Guru. She is acknowledged as one of the leading exponents of the Kuchipudi art form in the present times and is relentlessly striving to propagate the classical dance form of Kuchipudi. Deepika Reddy is the recipient of Kala Ratna', the highest award conferred by the state of Andhra Pradesh in 2007.
Alluri is the stage name of Shriram Alluri, an indie rock musician and songwriter based out of London. Alluri is a musician who's impossible to categorise, but his music is as grand and euphoric as anything you'd find from Arcade Fire and has a touch of Morricone too. Alluri worked with the Grammy-winning producer Tommaso Colliva on the single Evari Kosam (For Who's Sake), his first recording to feature vocals performed in his native tongue, Telugu.

Thaman is a music composer who composes music for Tamil and Telugu films in India. He is an Indian classical musician and percussionist, considered by many as one of the leading exponents of Mridangam, an ancient Indian percussion instrument. He is featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing mridangam continuously for 36 hours. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2008, for his contributions to Music.

Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, also known as V. M. Bhatt, is Grammy-winning Hindustani classical music instrumentalist who plays the Mohan veena. Mysore Manjunath is a noted Indian violinist. He is one of the youngest recipients of the Prestigious Sangith Natak Academi Award By the Government of India & Rajyotsava Award by the Government of Karnataka.
Shobana is an Indian film actress and Bharatanatyam dancer from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She has acted nearly to 230 films, predominantly in Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil, and also in Hindi, Kannada, and English languages. In 2006, the Indian Government honoured Shobana with the Padma Shri for her contributions towards the arts. In 2014, the Kerala State Government honoured her with the Kala Ratna Award.

Clinton Cerejo is a multi-award-winning music composer in Bollywood. Known as one of the first to weave Western elements into more traditional Indian compositions, Clinton has emerged as the flag bearer for fusion music in India. He will be performing live with the only female music director from Tollywood, MM Sreelekha; Bollywood playback singer Bianca Gomes and popular film composer from Mysore, Vijay Prakash.

George Brooks is an American saxophonist and composer, acclaimed for successfully bridging the worlds of jazz and Indian classical music. Louis Banks is a Nepalese film composer, record producer, keyboardist, and singer. He has often been referred to as the Godfather of Indian Jazz. Gino Banks is an Indian drummer and member of the fusion band 'Nexus'. He is son of popular Jazz musician Louis Banks. Sheldon is a session Bass Player, Composer and Music Producer who has worked with some of the finest musicians around the world.
V. Selvaganesh is an Indian percussionist working in the Carnatic tradition and one of the leading players of his generation.
